@jamesy: I think from Iceland, then they migrate here during October and return north in April.

I was thinking just what Evelyne has said before me. I was immediately attracted to the diagonal line of composition. I also like the grouping of the birds. Although they look quite unruly, they seem to form a cohesive group for your purposes.

@Jeff: I'm going to guess at a long taioled duck, every thing fites apart fron the beak but that could be to do with the angle. cheers

Busy bunch - looks like a party of giggling girls. Great capture Alun. They are quite different than our Canadian Geese.

Odd to notice how well camouflaged the birds are in this situation . . survival takes many forms.
