MrsAmber from West Wickham, United KingdomGreat atmosphere..the red flags look like a throw back to the communism era - so it's fitting in front of the Brandenburg Gate! 4 Nov 2009 7:48am @MrsAmber: Thank you very much @grouser: Thank you for seeing it for what it is Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld, GermanyRebels, freedom fighters, terrorists.Call them what you want.I don´t think demonstrations like this should be allowed to be held in front of national institutions like the Brandenburger tor (which has nothing to do with their problems). 4 Nov 2009 2:45pm @Anthony Morgan Lambert: Get off your soap box dude ;) Nothing wrong with a good old document shot. Jeff from Pembroke Dock, Wales., United KingdomGood colourfull shot, lots to look at..The Frauline on the right seems to have the full attention of the Polizist. 4 Nov 2009 3:35pm @Jeff: Now you have said it, yes i can see it, nice one, cheers dj.tigersprout from New York City, United StatesEXCELLENT framing, timing and choice of locale -- i love the motion and color in this shot! bravo! 4 Nov 2009 3:46pm @dj.tigersprout: Thanks very much Bishop from Houston, United StatesAnthony: I don't know about Buckingham palace, but it would certainly be allowed near the White House (at least they used to allow it before 9/11 - if they don't now it would be because of security issues, not because of monuments!) 4 Nov 2009 5:03pm @Bishop: Sorry mate but if you look at Anthony comment i have just found a demo the that was hald out side the White house, and this was in August 14, 2006. so sorry mate yes it does happen. Marian from Bangor, United KingdomLove the combination of stasis and movementy in the shot here. Great perspective with the main figure as focus, and the background adding context 4 Nov 2009 5:30pm @Marian: Thank you very much Bishop from Houston, United StatesThat's what I thought although I wasn't sure. If it is a democracy then normally they allow the demonstrations to get very near whatever monument there might be! :) 4 Nov 2009 5:52pm @Bishop: I just like it as a document shot :) cheers Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaThe colors and the composition of this shot are superb and it looks like a peaceful demonstration.
