He looks kinda young?? great capture Alun:-) 9 Oct 2008 8:24am @Linerberry: I think its a juvenil greenfinch, thank you Betty from New Jersey, United StatesWow, I can reach out and touch this bird. Fantastic detail! Very well done! 9 Oct 2008 10:09am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomExcellent, crisp bird portrait Alun. Would have cropped a tad off the right hand side to loose that bit of shadow though. 9 Oct 2008 10:31am @grouser: Thank you grouser. I did try and take out the shadow by cropping but it would have put the bird in the middle and thats a no no. So the next thing was to try and clone it out but i couldn't get it to look right so it stayed. Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesOh sweet! The detail is so sharp. Beautiful. 9 Oct 2008 1:31pm Daryl from Amagasaki, JapanUnusual to get such a close-up of a sparrow! Maybe they're usually deemed unworthy subjects? But this is really revealing and interesting, great stuff! 9 Oct 2008 2:27pm @Daryl: No bird is unworthy !!
