Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesAlun - this really scores well. The lightness emanates from all these elements that look like they should be dark. This is captivating. The old boat. The rocky road. That large shadow locks it all into place. Fabulous. 31 Aug 2008 5:26am @Stephen Phillips: cheers Stephen Kylie Greenan from Richmond, AustraliaI agree with Stephen, beautiful composition, wonderful tone and the detail in the boatshed and the foreground where the stunning light falls is sensational, congratulations Alun! 31 Aug 2008 7:10am @Kylie Greenan: Thank you very much Kylie Jean-Michel from Brussels, BelgiumTrès belle composition ! 31 Aug 2008 9:51am @Namaki: No, its an old boat house, cheers Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomInteresting location, and good BW shot. 31 Aug 2008 1:40pm @Observing: Thanks Mike for your visit, Cheers Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaI love pictures like this Alun. Here in Western Canada we don't seem to have anything that old and full of history. It is such an inviting picture. Composition and lighting is wonderful. Which is older, the boat or the boathouse?? I know it's the boathouse, but............. 31 Aug 2008 10:13pm @Marion: Thank you Marion Denise from Perry, United StatesVery nice photo , looks a little sad with the boat overturned, looking abandoned. The black and white really make the picture! 1 Sep 2008 1:12am Anthony Lambert from Bielefeld, GermanyYou got me stumped !!
