I don't know Chester but I know Canterbury, Rochester, Cambridge and the Kent. This cathedral is superb, the light is excellent and composition good (excuse my bad english)

Good perspective. As what regards the light, only you or who knows Chester cathedral may say whether this is the right level of light or not. What is more adequate from a strict photographic point of view, may not translate the ambiance we feel at the spot. With such large windows that is what I would expect to see.
