Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA super seascape. The light is especially good. One can almost smell the salt air. 29 May 2008 5:22am @Michael Skorulski: Thank you Michael Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaBoy, does that ever add interest to an already great seascape. Wonderful picture Alun. 29 May 2008 6:20am djedfre from schaumburg, United Statesa bit like david & goliath! i love how the water looks - great color... 29 May 2008 6:31am dobbino from Cape Town, South AfricaNice composition and clever title. I can almost feel wind in my hair... 0-)) 29 May 2008 8:26am Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesTerrific shot, Alun ... the light, the subject, the composition are all first rate! 29 May 2008 10:04am @Ron: Thank you Ron Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesExcellent image! Very well done. 29 May 2008 10:21am Francesc B. from région parisienne, FranceVery beautiful pic… I like these gray colors, and this photographer at the edge of water… "trapped" by another photographer. 29 May 2008 10:41am Cheryl from Texas, United Statesbeautiful compositon! The human element adds so much to this, nice work! 29 May 2008 11:38am @Cheryl: Thank you Cheryl Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomThe compression here makes that guy look at risk from the sea . . the height of that doorway into the lighthouse is a good guide to high tide, I guess! 29 May 2008 11:41am @Ronnie 2¢: Thanks Ronnie vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Québec, CanadaYou captured the atmosphere really well, perfect light! 29 May 2008 11:45am @vu@granby - Wolfgang: Thank you Wolfgang Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsI often see seashore pictures on Aminus3, and I find them romantic, well done etc. But in this one I recognize my own seashore experiences: salty, windy, moist in the air, freshness, and also the dark clouds and the bright light. Putting a photographer in the scene completes the feeling of "ownership" of the impression. Delicious! Thanks for this wonderful capture! 29 May 2008 12:19pm @Illuci: Thank you Illuci for your very kind comment :) Sandrine from Cincinnati, United StatesGreat shot! Nice composition and capture! :) 29 May 2008 1:26pm Peter Miller from Lichfield, United KingdomLooks a bit rough out there but still a cracking shot 29 May 2008 1:57pm Marie Le Corre from Dauphiné, FranceBeautiful storm scene with splendid colours. 29 May 2008 2:07pm @Marie Le Corre: Thank you Marie Fogguy from San Francisco, United StatesGreat capture Alun - I can feel the spray in the air. Great work. 29 May 2008 7:06pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham bruno from les Ollières, FranceWant to be this photographer on the beach. Very nice shot ! 29 May 2008 7:13pm Guillermina from Buenos Aires, ArgentinaIf you hadn't said he was a photographer, I would have thought he was an executioner... Or maybe he was indeed an executioner, since we don't get to see the camera ;) There are great diagonals here, like the strip of foam running almost paralell to the imaginary line between the man and the lighthouse... Gorgeous. 29 May 2008 7:21pm @Guillermina: Thanks very much :) Ted from South Wales, United KingdomWow..great shot! Where was this taken exactly? ( I have a thing about lighthouses...see http://www.pbase.com/teddy_s/nash_point_glamorgan) 29 May 2008 8:24pm @Ted: Thanks Ted,This is at the top of the wirral. standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceSuperb composition. The lighting is exceptional! 29 May 2008 8:52pm @Mike: Thanks for your comment mate, and thanks for the info, Cheers :) Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesGreat shot! (The old sailor in me feels the list.) *smile* 30 May 2008 1:12am @Judy: Thanks for your comment. I have just been on photoshop with this image and the horizon looks not bad to me, If you have a close look and draw a straight line across the water. My be you have had to much Rum ha ha ;) Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaA wonderful shot. Having the photographer in the frame adds an interesting element to an already terrific photo. 30 May 2008 1:16am @Michael Rawluk: Thank you Michael Pied Crow from Nairobi, KenyaI like this photo a lot, but with the muted colors, it is an example of one where the watermark is a bit distracting. 30 May 2008 4:12am @Pied Crow: Never mind Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesNow that's a lighthouse. It's not one of those poofy jobs up on a hill somewhere. 30 May 2008 2:31pm |
