Excuse the ignorance, but what is the post for? 25 May 2008 7:27am @dobbino: Thank you for your comments, I'm not sure but i think it could be for mooring boats. Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaVery striking Alun. It goes against "the rules" with the post right smack in the middle, but it really works. A brilliant idea! 25 May 2008 8:43am @Andrew Gould: Thank you Andrew, i know It shouldn't put the post in the middle but i just shot it didn't think about it to much but when i got home i thought no!!, but i still liked it as well Cheers Ian Bramham from Manchester, United KingdomGreat light on this one Alun!...the slight flare really adds to the overall image. 25 May 2008 8:45am @Ian Bramham: Cheers, i liked the lens flare Mohammad Darvish from Tehran, Irannice and beautiful...I saw your pictures...all of them are perfect I think...thanks for your nice comment in my photoblog 25 May 2008 9:17am @Mohammad Darvish: thank you for your kind words, i'm glad you like the images. I think it's perfect just the way it is because if you cut down on the glare then you would lose the drama of the setting sun. 25 May 2008 1:12pm @Marion: Thank you Marion, very kind Barbara from Florida, United StatesBeautiful capture into the sun. In my book there are no rules, if the shot feels good shoot it. In this case it is Excellent. I like the light and dark tones and blue with the texture of the water, sand and rocks. 25 May 2008 4:16pm @Barbara: Thank you very much Barbara for your lovely comment standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceBeautiful backlight composition. I like the shimmering reflections! 25 May 2008 4:38pm @standley: Thank you standley DaveB from Exeter, United KingdomLovely silhouette, although it would've been cooler in my opinion if you got in low and close to the rail so it completely dominated the shot, and you would'nt have the dark foreground in it either! 25 May 2008 4:51pm @DaveB: Yes i could have but it was a bit of a clamber down and thats mud you can see. what i could have done was some dodging and burning to improve the foreground, thanks for your comment @Observing: cheers dude Nicholas from Shah Alam, MalaysiaWonderful shot :) The glare fits well.. well done :) 26 May 2008 1:46am Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesWhite hot even though it's of water... Just to add some constructive criticism, I would prefer there were no lens ghosts on the post... 26 May 2008 3:15pm @Condemna: Do you mean flair, yes i can see why some would not like the flair, but i do, Thank you for that.
