The moutain behind is Buachaille Etive Mor at the top of glencoe. In the highlands of Scotland.
What a radiant scene! Love how the sunlight bathes the shot.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Alun. What a splendid landscape! Full of history, if the cottage could speak! I'd like to be there and also when the weather is less fine, listen to these stories with a fine glass of Glenlivet or other single malt :)

What time of year is this taken? Lovely the way the light greens enliven what could be somewhat grey scene.

I like this shot because it is kind of alien to me. I don't imagine Scotland having such cozy quality. It didn't look that way in Braveheart or Trainspotting! Nice photo!

@Henry: It is a lovely place, Loads of mountains. Cheers Henry
Wow, I know this spot well, and you were so fortunate to be there in such amazingly bright light. Spectacular capture, I can smell the fresh air of Rannock Moor. and Glen Coe itself just looking at the shot.

@Richard_Irwin: Thanks Richard, im glad you like it. I just love the area, after taking this shot we were of to the kings house for a pint,
What makes this image more than a picture of a pretty landscape is the house. The cottage is the dominant element.

@Rob: Thanks for your comments. You would love it in scotland.
Looks like Rob Roy's house --though perhaps, since it's been so long since I've seen the movie, that is misrecollection. Nice pastoral scene with vivid color and pleasing whites.
