Carew CastlePosted by Alun (cheshire, United Kingdom) on 1 May 2008 in Architecture. A little Castle in Pembrokeshire Wales. It was a very gray day so the b/w worked better.

@Rhys: Thanks Rhys, I took it in colour but the sky was washed out but i think it worked better in b/w. Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA place that reeks of history and I wonder why and how it got into such disrepair. An intriguing image! 1 May 2008 7:08am @Michael Skorulski: Life started in the 11th century, and it changed over the years more being bilt and updated. It was abandond in 1686 then the national trust took over in 1983. So it was left for a long time. Cheers Michael @BABYLONEZOO: Thank you Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesA wonderful image of day gone by! 1 May 2008 11:53am Rob from Velveetaville, United StatesVery nice capture Alan. Being from the States it's hard to imagine buildings this old some times. In my opinion, we don't appreciate our old buildings like we should but it's our heritage and we should preserve them. I like what you have in your portfolio so far and can't wait to see more. Cheers, Rob 1 May 2008 12:14pm @Rob: Yes we do have some old buildings, I have just been looking at your portfolio, you do like your dogs, and there's some great images of them. Just lends to the ambience of the picture. 1 May 2008 1:57pm @Marion: Thank you Marion amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaOh what I'd give to be able to photograph such places.. sigh.
