Beaver rat

This was taken in an animal park in bielefeld germany.

Looks like a beaver, has a tail like a rat. Interesting little animal and an excellent shot.

Is it a nutria? We have these in Japan. An introduced species that have wreaked havoc with native flora and fauna.

@Daroru: These were native to germany, i dont no if thay still live there.
These were taken in an animal park were all the animals used to or still do come from gemany.
