This shot of Las Vegas was taken from on top of the stratosphere tower.

Great shot Alun. We were in Vegas in November and stayed at the Monte Carlo on the 30th floor (before the fire) and this is pretty much what we saw when we looked out the window, but the windows were dirty, so weren't able to get a good shot. I didn't know about the stratosphere tower. Excellent view and again a great picture.

@Marion: yes the windows in our hotel were dirty so it was great to go up the tower. And you could have some fun on the rides. Thanks

Amazing shot Alun, I've only ever seen Vagas on the TV, it is so much bigger than I imagined.

@MaryB: yes its fairly big. but whats mad is that it's in the middle of a desert there's nothing around it. Thanks for your comments

I have never seen a picture of Las Vegas during the day before. Not as good as it looks at night.

A zoom in on the trees on the main drag would have been a bit more interesting!!!!! Good shot Bro!

@Anthony: But if you look at the left of the photo there is a golf course and there's loads of tree's for you.

That is a cool shot of the city that should not exist. They are stealing water from a huge part of the west and destroying ranches in the process. But enough of the rant. Terrific shot.

Have never seen it from this perspective and if that's a golf course I see in the background... very strange.

@Earnest: yes it is golf course., and what's realy strange is if you fly over vegas there are about four and they are completely green and surrounded by buildings.
